El Sur de Capistrano: Capistrano Villages Nerja

Nerja is a beautiful place this time of the year, or, should I say, Nerja is most beautiful at this time of the year. The flowers are vived colours, the air of a nightime is scented and balmy. I love Nerja, it´s my favourite place in Spain.

I often travel down to Nerja, from my home in the mountains, to have sunday lunch at la Barca restaurant on Burriana beach or to sit in the main plaza and people watch. Unfortunately this year I won´t get down to Nerja until mid october, but hey, never mind, At least I´ll get there.

Talking of August; I was reading the latest on a very good website Nerja Now

"During August there is live entertainment every night in Plaza de los Cangrejos from 10pm. The Cultural centre has produced a programme of events but sadly it just gives the name of the performers so in some cases it is very hard to work out what is actually happening, but here are a couple of ?translatable? examples: 8th Violin duo, 9th: Cinema: Amerrika, 11th: A dance acadamy, 14th Theatre, 17th Jazz, 31st: Jazz quintet.
A change of ownership at Maui on Tutti Frutti and also a refreshing look at prices, no two for one offers here just normal bar prices and a bit of background music inside the bar with a comfortable terrace to people watch from, well done to Luke and good luck."
