Nice Driver Golf 2011...Nerja
It´s amazing how we can speak the same language and still not understand what we mean. I was talking the other day to a friend of mine whilst having a coffee on Burriana Beach in Nerja, the topic of conversation turned to golf. That's where it all went wrong.
Now, I thought we were talking about the Car GOLF! and he thought I was talking about the Game GOLF?!
He said he had never done so much golfing in his life, he was worn out!
"What? You get worn out driving on the Costa del Sol?"
"Oh yes, driving hard work sometimes"
"No it´s not!" said I "Your not actually doing very much"
"No doing very much!" said he, all indignant "It´s bloody hard work! You should try it!"
I told him I had driven all along the Costa del Sol, often in the same day.
"What? every course? in one day? your a bloody liar" he tells me
It was then that I realised he was on about his golf bat or stick or whatever they call them (I believe the bat in question is called a driver)
I explained that I thought he was on about driving a Golf car!!
These golfing people can be really irate sometimes. I thought the game of golf was supposed to relax you, if that's the case, someone should tell my friend.
